Hi you guys! So I missed In My Twenties Tuesday this week, sorry Mel! I didn’t have a post quite ready, though I’m mulling on couple of topics including debt, the switch from not wanting to get pregnant to being super disappointed every month when I find out I’m not, and a story about burning bridges. Perhaps one of those will be coming to you next Tuesday!
This is just a quick post to encourage you to go over to Ashley’s blog A Healthy Happier Bear and check out my very first guest post!
I still feel so new to blogging so I was nervous about writing it, but I wanted to show how I continue to crossfit while also training for marathons. It’s definitely a balancing act and I’ve enjoyed figuring out my formula.
I’ll be back to regular posting later this week, work has been killing me. I’ve been trying so hard to fit so much in, these last couple of weeks at Indigo are going to be tough. I’m bummed that I haven’t been keeping up with the challenge loop that Katy is hosting, I really wanted to do something for my blog everyday, but I haven’t made it a top priority. I’ll get back on that again tonight after my run.

Really great post Meg! I enjoyed it…and I think it was the nail in the coffin for me to try crossfit. I would look forward to all your future posts about some of the possible topics you listed. We are trying too and it is surprisingly disappointing to get the negatives…it is getting to the point that I feel like it will never happen! As for debt, what a can a worms that could open up for me too! I look forward to them….

Aww thanks Ed, sorry to hear you’re in the same fertility boat, a friend and fellow blogger: http://didyougetanyofthat.blogspot.com/ was telling me about a book called Taking Charge of your Fertility. I’ll be picking it up and will probably review it here. She also suggested acupuncture. Since I’m already going for my knee, I’m going to tell my acupuncturist to give me a few more needles for the baby making! I look forward to reading about your crossfit experience. Any ideas on what box you’ll be going to?

Interesting you bring up acupuncture…I have been told to try it out for my back issues and now I even have another reason to go…(and another reason for crossfit to strengthen my back). Thanks for the book recommendation, we are waiting till the summer. If no luck then, then we will start the focused process
Right now I am scheduling into classes with Crossfit Interbay and Level 4 Crossfit Seattle. Both are right next to were I work so I am thinking that would be the best for before or after the office. And will make sense during my busy season that is coming up. However, I am just in the shopping around stage so I am open to suggestions!

My coaches started at Interbay! I’ve met a good number of the members there and I think their community seems really great. I have a friend who can’t crossfit often so she drops in at Level 4 a couple of times a month. She likes it, they’re one of the original boxes but I hear they’re very big, less tight community more bigger group fitness. I can’t say for sure though since I’ve never been there. Just an FYI many CF gyms don’t have a shower, not sure if your work has one, but that could be limiting if you want to shower before work. I think those are great places to look, good luck!!
